Adjustment without special adaptations

Adjustment of the mechanism of gear shifting carry out in the following order:

weaken a bolt of fastening of a cable to the lever of gear shifting and a nut of fastening of the hinge to the lever of a preliminary choice of transfers;

fix the gear shifting lever, having established a drill or a core in an opening in the center of the lever of gear shifting;

transfer the gear shifting lever to neutral situation;

tighten a bolt and a nut of fastening of cables then check clearness and smoothness of inclusion of transfers;

check a course of a shaft of the mechanism of a choice of transfers, having included the first transfer and having pressed the gear shifting lever counter-clockwise;

having released the lever, measure vertical moving of a shaft of the mechanism of a choice of transfers which should make 1 mm (fig. 8.58) ;

weaken a nut of fastening of the hinge to the lever of a preliminary choice of transfers and, moving the cable hinge to lever cuts, establish demanded moving of a shaft (fig. 8.59) ;

exact adjustment carry out by means of the special VW 3192 adaptation.

Adjustment with the VW 3192 adaptation

Adjustment of the mechanism of switching of a transmission by means of the adaptation carry out in the following order:

establish the lever of switching of a transmission in neutral situation and remove the handle from the gear shifting lever;

having removed a protective cover, unscrew a bolt of fastening of a cable (fig. 8.60) of gear shifting and a nut from a tip of a cable of a preliminary choice of transfers so that each cable of switching could move freely in longitudinal openings;

remove the switch of lamps of the backing, located on the mechanism of a choice of transfers;

in car salon, unscrew a bolt in a forward part of the case of the lever of gear shifting and establish the adjusting adaptation 3192 (fig. 8.61) ;

fixing hook of the adjusting adaptation place under a plate and fix the screw (2). The lever of gear shifting shift in a cut ползуна the adjusting adaptation to the left;

the lever of gear shifting and the adjusting adaptation shift against the stop to the left and fix ползун the screw (3);

move the gear shifting lever to cuts of the adjusting adaptation to the right and wrap the screw (1);

establish a plate with a cut and a directing pin in the switching lever on a transmission. Move a plate between the lever of gear shifting and a cover, achieving sure fixing of a plate (the plate thus should not lift the gear shifting lever) (fig. 8.62) ;

fix both cables of gear shifting (the cable between an emphasis and a tightening bolt should be thus tense) and take a plate with a directing pin, and also the adjusting adaptation;

the gear shifting lever in neutral situation should be in a cut of 3 and 4 transfers.

having completely squeezed out coupling, consistently include all transfers. If inclusion of any transfer needs more than one attempt, check moving of a shaft of the mechanism of a choice of transfers on a transmission (see fig. 8.58 ).
