The fuel accumulator 3 (see fig. 5.13 ) is established on cars with DOHC engines. It is located about the fuel filter, in the back lower part of the car.
Removal and installation of the fuel accumulator carry out in the following order:
– disconnect a wire from the negative plug of the storage battery;
– lift a back part of the car and fix it on supports or use a viewing ditch, enclose rags under a fuel pressure head hose in a motor compartment;
– slowly weaken connection and remove pressure in fuel system;
– after pressure removal repeatedly tighten connection;
– slowly weaken connecting couplings 2;
– disconnect feeding and bringing pipelines from the fuel accumulator;
– weaken fastening and take the fuel accumulator.
Installation carry out to sequences, return to removal.
