The internal hinge of equal angular speeds is not under repair and in case of failure is subject to replacement entirely.

Removal of the internal hinge carry out in the following order:

– fix a shaft in a vice with slips from soft metal;

– using special nippers for removal of spring lock rings, remove a lock ring from the shaft end (fig. 9.2) ;

– by means of an opravka bring down a gryazeotrazhatel from the hinge (fig. 9.3) . It is necessary for Opravk to establish serially in various points on cap perimeter for its uniform removal;

– move an antisplash cover on the shaft middle;

– fix the internal hinge in a vice and take from it a shaft. If it is not possible to take a power shaft, establish the hinge under a press and, using VW 402 and VW 408а adaptations, squeeze out from it a shaft (fig. 9.4) ;

– remove from a shaft of a drive of wheels a tarelchaty spring washer, previously having noted its situation. The washer has shlitsa, and her convex party settles down from the hinge.

Installation of the internal hinge carry out in the following order:

– before installation of the new hinge carefully clear a power shaft;

– establish a spring tarelchaty washer on a shaft so that the convex party of a washer was from the hinge, and internal shlitsa of a washer were combined with shlitsa of a shaft;

– fix internal in a vice with soft sponges and insert into it a power shaft. In case the shaft does not enter into the hinge, press the hinge on a shaft by means of a press (thus the shaft from below should lean on a support) (fig. 9.5) ;

– establish in a flute of a power shaft a new spring lock ring;

fill the internal hinge of 120 g of greasing, and, a half of greasing put in the hinge on the one hand, and a half – with another;

– establish into place an antisplash cover. Before fastening of an antisplash cover by collars, a screw-driver raise internal edge of a cover for alignment of pressure of air under a cover;

– at installation of the internal hinge on left driving to a shaft note by means of a sticky tape or paint distance of equal 17 mm (fig. 9.6) ;

– at installation of an antisplash cover on the right shaft of a drive of wheels the lock chamber "A" (fig. 9.7) establish on a thick tubular part of a shaft.

PREVENTION At cars with engines, since 66 kW (90 h.p.), on the hinge additional consolidation is established.
