The belt of a drive of auxiliary units is considered correctly tense if its deflection (the bottom arrow on fig. 11.25 ) between pulleys of the pump and a cranked shaft makes no more than 5 mm. Adjustment of a belt carry out rotation of an adjusting bolt, for what:
– weaken nuts and bolts of fastening of the pump;
– weaken a lock-nut of an adjusting bolt on a pump arm;
– rotate an adjusting bolt and constantly check a belt tension until the belt will not cave in on 5,0 mm by pressing a thumb on the belt middle between pulleys of a cranked shaft and the pump;
– tighten a lock-nut of an adjusting bolt;
– tighten nuts and bolts of fastening of the pump.
