The broad tank

of the hydraulic booster of a steering is located in a motor compartment near the storage battery. Before check of level of liquid in a broad tank it is necessary: – to establish the car on an equal surface;
– to establish forward wheels in the provision of rectilinear movement;
– to stop the engine.
Level of liquid is looked through through tank walls. It should be between «MIN» and «MAX» labels. In addition the cover of a tank is executed for a single whole with the index of level of liquid. If the engine warm, level of liquid has to be near «MAX» label if cold – «MIN», to exceed it.
In the hydraulic booster of a steering on release cars till February, 1989 Dexron II ATF liquid, on models of the subsequent releases — special oil is applied to hydraulic drives of VW G 002 000.
