Repair B3-B4/Passat B3-B4 Volkswagen Passat>> Steering>> Pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering>> Pump removal Before replacement of the pump check giving of the tension submitted to the pump, and pressure in system of the amplifier of a steering.
The knot of the pump is not maintainable and in case of failure is subject to replacement.
Removal make in the following order:
– merge liquid from system;
– disconnect a pressure head hose 9
(fig. 11.24)
from the pump 8;
– weaken bolts of fastening of the pump and turn the pump so that the driving belt 12 could be removed from a pulley 11;
– finally unscrew bolts of fastening and remove the pump;
– for tank removal with liquid unscrew a fixing clip in the top part of a tank and, having pulled up, remove a tank.
