Forward and back epiploons of a cranked shaft are necessary for changing at each its removal or at removal of forward or back covers of a cranked shaft.
Replacement of a forward epiploon of a cranked shaft is carried out in the following order:
– fix a cranked shaft of the engine from a provorachivaniye;
– unscrew bolts of fastening of a quencher of krutilny fluctuations and remove a quencher;

– remove a forward epiploon 13 (see fig. 3.54 ) a cranked shaft from a forward cover 11 cranked shaft by means of a screw-driver;
– clear an opening of a sealing ring in a forward cover 11 cranked shaft and a neck of a cranked shaft;
– establish directing plug of the adaptation for epiploon installation on a sock of a cranked shaft;
– grease working edges of a new forward epiploon with engine oil and establish an epiploon on directing plug;

– establish an opravka 2 (fig. 3.55) of the adaptation on directing plug and press an epiploon in a forward cover 3 cranked shaft, tightening a bolt of 1 adaptation.
Replacement of a back epiploon of a cranked shaft is carried out in the following order:
– remove a transmission, coupling and a flywheel;
– drill two openings of small diameter in an end face of a back epiploon 6 (see fig. 3.54 ) a cranked shaft, screw in them two screws and remove an epiploon, having pulled out it flat-nose pliers for heads of screws;
– clear an epiploon opening in a back cover 5 cranked shaft and a neck of a cranked shaft;
– grease working edges of a new sealing ring with fresh engine oil;
– establish a back epiploon of a cranked shaft by means of an opravka;
– establish a flywheel (see подразд. 3.2.10).
